| While
the book, Powerful
Leadership Development: Bridging Theory and Practice
Using Peers and Technology, gives two-member
teams an excellent introduction to the fundamentals
of leadership and the Professional Enhancement Program,
pep* goes even further.
Mid manager
"The pep* program allowed me, in a safe environment,
to take a long, hard look at myself and examine
my leadership strengths and improvement needs. I
now know what I need to do to improve."
|
In pep*,
everyone from students to current leaders, learn, practice
and hone specific leadership skills that enable them to
solve problems, get measurable results and make real differences
on their jobs.
Completing the entire program, in 24 trained coaches take
participants through activities that reveal existing strengths
and areas that need improvement. Coaches show participants
how to learn from their peers, how to use video as a learning
tool and how to utilize the
pep* assessment and development report-writing software
to cost-effectively evaluate performance. When the program
activities are used more than once, progress in specific
leadership skills can also be clearly evaluated.
For organizations concerned with meeting licensure standards,
the activities, coupled with immediate performance feedback,
are directly linked to recognized performance standards.
The skills that are strengthened, therefore, demonstrate
a direct effect on meeting licensure standards.
What’s more, you can organize a customized pep*
seminar or course to suit your organization’s unique
challenges, with activities designed around a particular
set of skills such as, exercising judgment, oral communication,
analyzing problems, etc. that you might wish to offer.
ABCI will provide a pep*
coach or train your own staff to serve as directors and
coaches. Your organization may also set the schedule and
choose the location for the training.
